  • SuperSaturday
  • Incisiv Speakeasy
  • Supply Chain Summit

It's that time again — it's NRF week. Starting tomorrow, January 13, New York City will once again be the center of the retail universe as retailers, CGers, vendors, manufacturers, and analysts will converge on the Jacob Javits for NRF’s annual Big Show.

The event will draw upwards of 40,000 people, representing over 6,000 brands, and feature more than 1,000 exhibitors and 450 top-notch speakers. With so much going on at the NRF Big Show, it can be daunting to decide which session, events, and booths to visit.

To make things a little bit easier, Grocery Doppio has hand-selected five events outside of the expo floor that every retailer should consider attending.

On Saturday, January 13, RetaiROI with hold its annual SuperSaturday event. The event, also know as “Tech and Tears,” mixes in retailer stories from the front with inspiring and touching reports about the charitable organization and its numerous projects. The keynote speaker at this year’s event is Darryl McDaniels of RunDMC, who will wow the crowd with stories of his illustrious career and life as an adopted child. RetailROI has three primary goals: to bring awareness of the needs of orphans worldwide; encourage companies (retailers, vendors, and manufacturers) to create internal programs to help children in need; and to raise funds for children around the world.

Incisiv’s Speakeasy at NRF has become an annual tradition. The executive networking event held on the evening of January 13 at 6 p.m. at Zuma New York, features an executive roundtable of leading retailers followed by a gourmet Japanese meal. Incisiv’s chief insights officer Gaurav Pant will host the fireside discussion featuring Dave Potter, SVP of technology, DXL Group; Giorgio Pradi, president-GM, Sunglass Hut, Luxottica; and Jenna Flateman Posner, chief digital officer, Solo Brands. The panel will explore key themes that will define the industry in the coming year and beyond. To learn more and to register for the exclusive event click here.
