In order to provide scheduled and on-demand grocery delivery to customers throughout the Midwest, Uber Technologies, Inc. announced its recent collaboration with privately-owned Meijer. This partnership solidified UberEats' national expansion of grocery selection for customers across Indiana, Illinois, Michigan, Kentucky, Wisconsin, and Ohio.

Approximately 250 Meijer locations will be open to Uber and Uber Eats customers starting this week and running through the winter. Customers will have the ability to order their favorite Meijer must-haves, including baked goods, fresh and frozen turkeys, produce and more, and have them delivered right to their doorsteps on demand, throughout the upcoming holiday season. This holiday season, Meijer locations will be featured stores across the Uber Eats app and will be a part of Uber's Holiday Shop, a one-tap destination for all holiday essentials.

"Meijer is known for freshness—fresh food, fresh thinking and a focus on innovation makes them a natural partner for Uber. We're thrilled to be bringing their fresh selection to Uber and Uber Eats across much of the country, and to be working together to deliver must-have groceries to America's doorsteps, just in time for the holidays,” said Uber's Head of Grocery and New Verticals, US & Canada, Christian Freese.

Since its inception in July 2020, Uber has seen steady growth in the United States of America for its grocery segment, thanks to collaborations with regional and national favorites like Meijer, Grocery Outlet, Albertsons Companies, and SpartanNash, among others. Uber has expanded beyond prepared meals in the United States and around the world, offering grocery, convenience, alcohol, and retail options in more than 30 countries, and is ideally positioned to fulfill consumer demand for seamless delivery. Every month, 124 million people use the Uber service globally, to travel anywhere and get anything.
